Thanks for the offer, but I only put my own content on to my site.

Typically I only write about stuff I&#039;m doing and nobody has asked me to do a 10gR2 RAC install on RHEL5, so I&#039;m not going to spend time trying for a couple of reasons:

1) 10gR2 is a very old version of Oracle now.
2) I prefer to install Oracle on the version it was written against. 10g was written against RHEL4, so it tends to install more smoothly in that OS. The deprecation of RAW devices in RHEL5 goes some way to justifying this logic to me.

Each to their own.
