I have figured it out. The song is in fact on the soundtrack. It is at the end of the song "Supplication".

To Carl McCaskill: i've got the same problem as you. i loved final song and i listened to the songs on the cd and it's not there. the only thing i know is that it was both in english and pashtu and one sentence i remember from english part is "I turn to you my heart". i hope someone else can help us.
P.S. i think the book was much much better than the movie.

I went to see the Kite Runner and really loved the film. There was a beautiful piece of music that was played in the film when Amir came back from Afghanistan with his nephew and thought he lost him. He went into a Mask and a really amazing song was playing in the film. I bought the CD and the song is not on the CD! Does anyone remember this song so I can find it on the internet or purchase it on iTunes from the artist? Thanks for any help in finding the song. Sincerely, Carl

“The Kite Runner” an awesome book, great attention to details. Every single page made me cry, laugh, warmed up my heart with love, and made me angry… I cried non-stop throughout the book.

Re: cultural accuracy...I heard on NPR that the boy who played the lead/victim has received death threats because of the subject matter of the movie.
