		<description>Actually, as one who has a vested interest in App Server, I find the future direction quite positive.  They are basically 1) replacing the JVM and OC4J everywhere, and 2) sticking with whichever platform provided the better feature set for specific items.  For example - BEA has the richer SOA set, but OAS has the richer management stuff.  (I wish richer implied more robust in all cases.)</description>

Teradata is designed for datawarehousing, and is tightly coupled to the hardware.
