A: Because your taxi might be in an accident and you might get your bags trapped in the boot!
I’m not hurt and I have my bags now. Getting on the flight to San Francisco in a few minutes.

I once had a flat tire driving to the airport at 3:30 am – I think I’ve set a new record changing a tire in the dark next to a highway.
I believe I did it in less then 10min.
I did arrive at the airport with bleeding knuckles and a dirty shirt
Hopefully, this will count as your one medical issue that always seems to come up when you go to or are in California. Glad to hear you are okay and have since made it to CA unharmed. Stay well!
