Oracle 11gR2 RAC On Linux Using NFS

I finally got round to trying an NFS installation of 11gR2 RAC.

No real surprises here. It all seems a little simpler when using NFS, but it was cronically slow on my crappy kit. 🙂

Cheers

  1. Hi.

Over the last 6 months I’ve not really written much and I’ve kinda got the bug again, so while I’m motivated I’m just letting it happen. 🙂

    Cheers

  2. Tim this is as good a place as any to tell you that you and oracle-base are awesome and that your prolific writings are awesome and have saved me and made many things possible in much shorter time than otherwise would have been possible. I’ve been using your build guides for years (with some modifications of course). For example, I use tgt linux iscsi for my shared storage on my vm prototypes for customers to make it more “realistic”. Also your regular updated posts and pages on UDEV foibles and follies has been very very valuable hard-to-find information (.e.g. the way that partitions suddenly stopped being read by scsi_id in 5.8) etc. Thanks!!!
