Postby rmathiasjr » Wed Jun 24, 2009 2:06 pm

God Morning, i am having some trouble instaling Oracle 10gR2 on a server with Fedora Core 11 64 bits version. The instalation goes well until the linking fase, and them i get a message from linking de *.mk files (rdbms, etc...).

It seems that i miss some libraries in my server instalation.

I realy apreciate some help.

Thanks , Roberto Mathias.

Hi.

I've never tried this installations.

I guess my first point for you to check is to make sure the compatibility libraries are installed, and make sure both the 32-bit and 64-bit libraries are present as required by the prerequisite check.

Cheers

Hi,
I'm on Fedora 11 32bits I installed the prerequired librairies like written in the tutorial but I have the same error.
I have 3GB RAM and I put only 1GB swap and the runInstaller say me that it's an error. Can it be because of my system is on LVM ? or because my swap space is lower than the swap space required by the runInstaller ? (I have 3GB RAM and only 1GB swap and the runInstaller say me that he wants 3GB swap space).

thank you by advance

Hi.

As I said before, I've never done a 10g installation on Fedora 11, so I can;t really comment on the possible causes of your issue.

Cheers
