Oracle 11g RMAN Catalog backup Oracle 10g Database

Hi Tim,

We have an Oracle Database 10g in the 10.2.0.4 version and now we can't migrate to Oracle 11.2.0.3. So, could we backup this database in the 10.2.0.4 version through 11g RMAN Catalog?

Hi.

I would be better, in my opinion, to have a separate catalog for the 10g databases. it could be housed in the same database that holds your 11g catalog. I just don't like mixing versions in one catalog.
