Multiplexing a Redo log between Disk group and Physical File

Wanted to check whether I can do a redo log member multiplexing between a disk group and a File system i.e. One of my redo group member should come from the ASM disk group and the other member of the same redo group should be available in a physical mounted File system .

Do any one have some documentation available for the same( If feasible)

Hi.

Oracle is totally happy with a mix of ASM and file system. You don't need any docs for this. Just create the member in the file system of your choice.

Just remember, the redo log files need to be on shared storage. All nodes must have access to see it.

What happens if one that member is unavailable . Will my DB work with out any disruption
