Virtualbox - windows host can't ping Linux guest

Postby pwilliams112 » Fri Dec 06, 2013 8:41 pm

Hi Tim,

I can't seem to use putty anymore and can't ping 192.168.78.51 or 52 from my host Windows machine.
Everything was working fine the other day.
The nslookup works fine as below
$nslookup collabn-cluster-scan.racattack

All the rac services are starting and working correctly.
The linux guests can ping each other and local host.

It's just the client software that doesn't work.

Do you have any idea how to troubleshoot such an issue?

I resolved this by performing a Windows system restore.

Hi.

I would have said, just step through the network config again, checking for hidden adapters etc., but you solved it anyway. :)

Cheers
