OCP Funda-1 books

Hello,

I am looking for Oracle Funda 1 Preparations, I went to many sites & found the following two books, which I can depend upon for clearing the exam.
1) OCA/OCP Funda 1 Tool Kit by Bryla Bob & Thomas Biju
2) OCA Exam Guide by Jason Couchman & Sudheer Marisetti

Please help me to chose from these two books, I can afforsd only one.
Also, do I have to buy the self-test software for Funda 1, is it necessary for clearing ?

Hi.

Either book will do fine. Alot of people prefer the Sybex book so that is probably a safe bet. Personally I would not buy the self-test software. There are sample questions in the books. That should be enough. I would only recommend the questions if exam technique is your worst problem.

Where are you working? Do you think OCP can help to fetch a job to any individual.
What are the charges required for OCP? Can one initiall be an OCA and then go for OCP? Do one has to take some class from Oracle for getting OCP/OCA?

Hi.

it seems pretty clear from the forums I visit that OCP won't get you a job o it's own. Everybody wants experience.

If you are doing the 9i track you do OCA then do some more exams and get the full OCP. The 9i OCP track requires you to go to one Oracle University course to qualify. If you do the 8i track then upgrade you don't need to do this.

I have visited the site. The oracle university courses are very costly.
No course is below Rs. 12000.00. I don't understand why OCP is not valid if you qualify ocp without these courses.

Jason Couchman's "DBA Certification Exam Guide" is very good as preparation for the OCP exams.So I'm really want to get the full e-book(maybe pdf.or sth).
who would tell me where to get it? or mail to my mail-box.
