Dumpfiles in Expdp

I m creating 2 dumpfiles in the location specified. One file is created of 9524 kb and other of 4 kb. Why is it so? I have not given any filesize.

Hi.

You have specified two files: test1 and test3

dumpfile=test1,admin_dir:test3

I would expect test1 to appear in the data_pump_dir, and test 3 to appear in the admin_dir.

As for the file size, notice the "minimum" file size in the documentation:

It probably formats the files to the minimum size even if nothign gets written to them.
