Sir...i have a bit idea on materialized views...but i don't know the particular advantage to use that?.
In which case do we use them..

Hi.

1) They are useful to copy remote data locally, improving the performance of queries that would otherwise have to use database links.
2) If you have lots of similar complex queries that perform aggregation of data, you may get benefits by using a materialized view to aggregate the data once, then have the queries posted against the ready prepared data.
