OEM 12C agent installation

Tim,
I have a question to install OEM 12cr2 agent.

1. I coculd not find 12c agent binaries for download
2. I thnik it is already in the OEM 12c binaries and would deploy agent automatically(self update) when add a new target
3. when add target and select platform for that target, it says Solaris sparc is not available, so I am confused here, wonder if I need to download the agent for Solaris sparc. Anyhow there is no agant for 12cr2 exist.

Please help.

Hi.

Read this article:

You need to:

- Create a software library.
- Enter your MOS credentials.
- Download the agent software into the software library using Cloud Control itself.
- Install the agents using Cloud control itself.

If you work your way through the article it will become obvious.

Seemed there is no agents for OEM 12cr2 only for OEM 12cr2 or prior

The OEM we have is 12cr2, I just found that the 12.1.02 binaries need self updated feature in OEm 12cr2. dont know how it works and will try it now.

Enterprise Manager Agent 12.1.0.1 and 12.1.0.2 Binaries

You can get the 12.1.0.1 / 12.1.0.2 agent binaries for the agent installation by using the Self Updated feature. Refer to the Agent deployment section of the Advance Install guide available here for more details.

For information on using the Self Update feature, refer to the Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control Administrator's Guide, available here.

Please follow my article. You download the agents from within cloud control. You don't manually download them from OTN. That is why they are not listed on OTN.

yes, you are right. it works.
we need to download all these agents for different OS from OEM itself and doploy them to client servers.
