Global index vs Local index while creating the partition tab

Hi Team,

Would you please any one suggest me , what is the best practice for creating the indexes(Global indexes or local indexes) while creating the partition table in oracle ?

Which scenario the creating of global indexes are suitable for partition table and Which scenario the local indexes are suitable for partition table ?

Can you please any one provide me the suitable doc for the same.

Hi.

From a manageability perspective, local indexes are really neat as they track the table partitions exactly.

I don't know any specific examples of documents that answer your question. I guess where I would start is by looking through Richard Foote's blog posts.
