Removal of a JOB without JOB number

Dear Sirs and Tim:

A belated Happy and Prosperous 2013 to all.

Recently I received a request from application team that a certain DBMS job having name ROLLBACK_CREDITS needs to be removed from the system.

I know that DBMS_JOB.REMOVE procedure accepts JOB number as the parameter.

Now going through DBA_JOBS and other SCheduler views I am not able to get JOB number against a JOB name.

I need your help on this.

Platform is Oracle 10G R2 running on RHEL Enterprise for Itanium.

Hi.

In 10g there are two scheulers. The one you access with DBA_JOBS and DBMS_JOB and the one you access with DBA_SHEDULER_JOBS and DBA_SCHEDULER. It sounds to me like you are only considering the old scheduler. Has the job been scheduled using the new scheduler?
