Hi Tom !
How are you ?

I have a question about Ora DB - Service .
I have 2 Server: 1 Oracle Database and 1 Oracle application services.
2 Server have 2 IP/sv : 1 Static IP and 1 IP Local .
usual i have only 1 IP/sv. so i setup using this ip. But now i have 2 ip,
- so when i install Oracle db and oracle app services, i use which ip.
- and what's different when i install using 1 ip/sv and 2ip/sv.

Hi.

The listener will use whichever IP address or machine name (associated to the IP address) that is defined in the listener.ora file. So decide which IP address you want to use and configure the listener.ora file to use that IP address.

so i think i could use local, because application server connect to database server throw ip local faster than ip wan.
when i finish setup db, in listener.ora , host war machine name then i reconfig this . is that right ?

oh
i want to ask:
do use ip local in listner.ora faster than use static IP Internet because of Db Server and App Server on a LAN.
And, default IP in listner.ora when i finish install DB server ( because of 2 IP static) ?
And must i change Host in listner.ora ?
