Thanks a lot! The link you just sent me is for 9i Windows 2k.
Q1) I suppose they don't have an installation guide for Windows 2003, right?
Anyway, for Unix, there's ROOT TASKS! ,
Q2) are there any SA TASKS for windows on 9i installation?
Also, I asked our Windows SA regarding the RAID system and capacity of the Win 2003 server. He replied as:
It has 2 mirrored disks for the c: drive and the d: drive is the SAN.
The two disk partitions are the C: (16.9GB) and D: drives (10GB).
Q3) I am not familiar w/ SAN. 10GB is extremely small. I will not be able to do much manual stripping? All the data files have to be in D, 1 of the control file, 1 member of the log groups, and archive logs can go to C, agree?
Q4) Also, it doesn't make whole lot of sense if it only mirrored C drive, as we could afford to lose the software on C but not the data on D.
